Aubrie Sellers has her cat to thank for being safe and sound today. The singer had plans to be at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday (November 7th) evening, the night an armed gunman killed at least 13 people.
Aubrie, who is the daughter of Lee Ann Womack and hit songwriter Jason Sellers, turned to social media to share her lucky turn of events. Yesterday (Thursday, November 8th), she wrote, “Last night we were going to go line dancing at 9:30 PM at a bar called Borderline we heard about in Thousand Oaks. An hour before we were to leave, I got home and Laney’s eye was swollen shut so we didn’t go. Thinking of everyone affected by this today. Truly unbelievable.”
Among those killed was a veteran Ventura sheriff’s sergeant who was first on the scene. Eighteen others were injured and taken to local hospitals.
