Blake Shelton welcomed media into his brand new Ole Red restaurant, bar and music venue in downtown Nashville yesterday (Wednesday, June 6th). The superstar hosted a press conference, alongside Ryman Hospitality CEO Colin Reed and event moderator Bill Cody where invited guests were treated to a special lunch to taste various menu items including fried chicken and tater tots topped with everything from pulled pork and eggs to sawmill gravy and jalapenos.
Ole Red Nashville is not only a way for Blake to expand his portfolio, but he told reporters that it will ultimately help in his quest to again win The Voice. “It just dawned on me . . . Can you imagine how this is gonna change my run on The Voice now, to be in the blind auditions, because none of those other three morons can say, 'Well, if you get on my team you have a gig at Ole Red.' (It's) built in. What are they gonna do? Want to play Adam's (Levine) barbeque or back yard or you want to come play at Ole Red in front of 1500 people? (laughter from press conference host).” .
