Brett Young said “I do” to his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Mills, on Saturday (November 3rd) at the Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert, California. People.com reports that more than 200 of their closest friends and family were in attendance, including Luke Combs, Lee Brice and Gavin DeGraw, who performed “More Than Anyone” at the reception. The newlyweds shared their first dance to a special rendition of “Forever Young” produced by Brett’s longtime producer Dann Huff. Brett and Taylor exchanged personalized vows during the ceremony which was officiated by Brett’s father, Brad, a pastor, and Van Hazelitt, the groom’s manager.

The happy couple are heading off to a “beachy honeymoon” before flying back to Nashville in time for Brett to receive the ASCAP country songwriter-artist of the year. He will also perform at the CMA Awards, where he is nominated for New Artist of the Year. The CMA Awards airs live from Nashville on November 14th on ABC.

Brett just wrapped up his opening gig on Thomas Rhett’s Life Changes tour, which he considers another great learning experience for his own headlining tour, which kicks off on November 16th.

Brett tells us: “Thomas is an incredible performer, all the way from set design down to his behavior on stage. And so, I 100% am studying him on stage. I think it takes a long time to know exactly who you are as a performer. I’ve been fortunate to be out with really good people. And the thing that you notice when the headliner is a really good person, or in Lady A’s case, good people, is how that trickles down. How important that is for the whole camp and for the whole tour to run smoothly is the way that the headliners are treating everybody and running their camp. And that’s the same with Thomas. Thomas is a sweetheart. His family is incredible and everybody that works with him and for him, they mirror that and it makes my life as an opener, as direct support, that much better knowing what to expect, and I think going into this tour at the end of the year and being the headliner on that tour, I’m aware now of that responsibility.” Brett's CMT-sponsored Here Tonight tour launches in Royal Oak, MI with special guest Tyler Rich.

He joins Kelsea Ballerini on her headlining Miss Me More tour next spring.
