Garth Brooks will perform the first-ever concert at Notre Dame Stadium near South Bend, IN, it was announced at a press conference in Nashville yesterday (Monday, July 9th). Details of the show, including the date, were not revealed, however Garth said he will be bringing other acts to perform on the bill and will likely be announcing other stadium dates. Unlike with previous tour dates, Garth says that this Notre Dame Stadium concert is a one-night-only event.
He told reporters: “You do things in your life that you're proud of if you're lucky. This one, just by association, brings a ton of pride to myself, to my family. It's pretty cool. These guys walk the walk. They talk the talk, and I can't tell you how excited we are to get to bring a different kind of crazy to that stadium. This is gonna be a lot of fun for us, and it opens the doors, I believe, for us, for our next chapter in our lives as just as people but also as a recording artist and a touring artist, so what this represents for us is something beyond words.”
Garth recently finished the three-plus year Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood.
He's climbing the charts with his new single, “All Day Long,” which is the first release from his upcoming studio album.
