Jana Kramer has parted ways with her label, Warner Music Nashville, and she is spending some time in Los Angeles. Despite reports, the actress-turned-singer is not necessarily returning to the small screen, and she's not done with country music or Nashville.
During a recent interview with Chicago Splash, she said that she's ready to go in a different direction saying, “Nashville wanted to put me in a box,” adding that the business model dictated “how I was supposed to sing and what I was supposed to sing about.”
She clarified her comments on Twitter explaining, "I LOVE Nashville. My home, friends and family is in Nash. And I have some songs coming out in a few weeks . . ." She added, "I dont quit. I fight! #newmusiccomingsoon #whosready"
Jana is headed to Chicago this weekend for the Windy City Smokeout Festival along with Kip Moore and Russell Dickerson, to name a few.
