Tim McGraw reached out to Republican Senator John McCain yesterday (Thursday, July 20th) on social media after reports surfaced that McCain has a cancerous brain tumor. Tim posted an old black-and-white photo of the U.S. Navy veteran and war hero in his old uniform on Instagram writing, “real good man and A REAL HERO . . . Prayers from the McGraw family, @senjohnmccain.”
The 80-year-old Senator had been diagnosed with a glioblastoma, one of the most common but reportedly one of the most malignant brain tumors. It can be treated with chemotherapy and radiation, but medical experts said it almost always grows back.glioblastoma. McCain underwent surgery last week to removed all the cancerous tissue, and he is currently resting at his home in Arizona.
