George Strait's brand new single, “Every Little Honk Tonk Bar,” was co-written by the superstar, his son, Bubba, and Dean Dillon. The idea for the song popped up just as George was hoping to turn in. He tells us: [“We were down at my ranch in south Texas writing and it was kind of towards the end of the night and we were pretty much done. I was tired and ready to go to bed, but we were going, ‘Does anybody have anything else?’ Bubba goes, ‘Whiskey is the gasoline that lights the fire that burns the bridge.’ And Dean and I go, ‘What? Where did that come from?’ (laughs) So, anyway, that’s how it started and we finished it that night.”] SOUNDCUE (:27 OC: . . . it that night.)

"Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" will be featured on George's upcoming album, Honky Tonk Time Machine, which will be released on March 29th. The project includes 12 original titles plus George’s version of the Johnny Paycheck classic “Old Violin.” This will be George's 30th career studio album.
