Jake Owen has added a special guest to his upcoming acoustic Down To The Tiki Tonk Tour. Singer/songwriter Scotty Emerick will now join the lineup in addition to previously announced opening act Larry Fleet. Scotty has co-written hits including Toby Keith‘s “I Love This Bar,” “As Good As I Once Was,” and Billy Currington‘s “Like My Dog,” along with songs penned for artists including George Strait and Kenny Chesney. Scotty is also a fellow Vero Beach, FL native.

Jake said, “I’ve been a big fan of Scotty for a long time, and something people may not realize is that when I just started out singing and writing songs, I looked up to Scotty, also a Vero Beach native. I got to watch someone from the same small town in Florida carve out his own path in the music industry and it inspired me in my own career. It felt like maybe it could be possible for me too, since he was able to live out his dream. To date, Scotty is still one of my favorite songwriters and singers, and someone I look up to musically. I am a huge fan of his and can’t wait for other people to be inspired as well by him.”

The eight-city Down To The Tiki Tonk Tour kicks off on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14th) in Des Moines, IA. Tickets are currently on sale at jakeowen.net.
