Kacey Musgraves has kicked off her sold-out North American headlining Oh, What A World: Tour, getting things started on Wednesday (January 9th) in Indianapolis. The trek includes stops in major cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, and Atlanta, and runs through the end of June.
Kacey toured extensively through 2018, opening for both Harry Styles and Little Big Town in addition to her own headlining dates. This time around, Kacey says that fans can definitely count on her shows being different from last year's, and she tells us her setlist will be very diverse. ["Each album, it's necessary to kind of reinvent your live show, you know, and it's a fun but tedious process. I want to just create a really vibey experience for people to hear the music. What is a challenge, though, is figuring out how to put a set together that includes old songs and new songs cause they sound so different. You know, like 'Biscuits' doesn't really live sonically in the same world as 'Slow Burn' but also people just want to hear songs so I'm gonna try not to overthink it."] SOUNDCUE (:37 OC: . . . to overthink it.)
Kacey is touring in support of her Grammy-nominated album Golden Hour.
She performs this weekend in Toronto and Montreal.
