Luke Bryan is reveling in his two ACM Awards nominations for Single of the Year for “Most People Are Good” and the night's highest honor, Entertainer of the Year. Luke has taken home the ACM Entertainer award twice throughout his career, and he tells us it's still a big deal because it's a title he strives to uphold. “To have an Entertainer of the Year nomination is a huge honor for me. It’s something that I really, really work hard at every year to try to be a better Entertainer, a better singer and a better performer. Nothing is better than going to the ACMs in Vegas, having a couple of nominations and just being out there and enjoying the party and being in the room and seeing what happens. I’m humbled by it, and it’s gonna be exciting the night of the ACMs.”
The ACM Awards will air live from Las Vegas on April 7th on CBS.
In some sad news, Luke and his family are mourning the loss of their newest pet, Poochie, an 18-year-old shelter dog they just adopted a couple weeks ago. Luke's wife, Caroline, shared the news on social media yesterday (Wednesday, February 20th) writing, “’If the kindest souls were rewarded with the longest lives, dogs would outlive us all.’ My heart is sad but full to post this..our sweet Prince Poochie has passed away. He lived 18 years and was loved by so many people. My kids especially loved to hear him snore when he slept! Thank you @proverbs1210animalrescue for giving our family the opportunity to love this sweet dog . . .”
