Maren Morris' sophomore album, Girl, is available at all music retailers today (Friday, March 8th). The project features 14 songs, all co-written by Maren, including the title track, which sits in the Top 30 and climbing on the country charts.

Maren says the album's songs as well as the title reflect her growth in the nearly three years since the release of her debut project, Hero. ["I just think the word 'girl' summed up the theme of the record. I was so young-seeming with my first album, even though I was 25, 26 when I made it but so much has happened in the last few years that like I'm not really the same girl anymore. I'm this new version of it and more mature and I think the headspace I'm in is a lot healthier this time around with this record, and I'm just in a better place, so I think naming it 'Girl,' it kind of captured a lot of things for me, so there was some intention behind it."] SOUNDCUE (:38 OC: . . . intention behind it.)

Maren will perform live on NBC's Today show this morning.

She kicks off her Girl: The World Tour tomorrow (Saturday, March 9th) night in Chicago with special guest Cassadee Pope. The show will be livestreamed via Amazon's Facebook page beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
