Midland doesn’t want to put a label on their music and instead say that their heartbreak and drinkin’ songs are for all occasions. Vocalist, Mark Wystrach tells us more: “The beauty about all of music and all of art really is that it is open to the interpretation of the observer and the listener. So, as Cameron was saying in an interview recently, which I really thought was beautiful, he says that, you know, we write music for Friday night when you’re getting ready to go out or when you’re having a great time sitting around a bonfire and singing with your best friends. And it’s also for Monday morning when you’ve got the touch of the blues and a little bit of melancholy, I think it serves both sides of that and it’s open to whoever is listening to it and I guess, whatever they’re really feeling or whatever they’re going through at that time in their life.”
