Old Dominion kicked off their 2019 Make It Sweet tour on Friday (January 18th) outside Chicago with special guest Jordan Davis and Morgan Evans. While Morgan is thrilled to have one of the coveted opening slots on the tour as a means of growing his fanbase, he also counts himself as a big fan of the headlining act.
Morgan tells us: ["Honestly, Old Dominion is one of my favorite bands so to get to go out on the road with those guys as people but as musicians, to be able to watch the show every night and become more inspired and get to play to their people as well. That's what I'm really looking forward to more than anything."] SOUNDCUE (:15 OC: . . . more than anything.)
The tour continues this week in Minnesota on Thursday (January 24th).
Morgan celebrated his first Number One hit, "Kiss Somebody," with a party in Nashville late last week. He said, “Every time I see the city skyline I think about the first time I came to Nashville and imagined being a part of this community. Every time I have that thought I get this rush of memories. Especially on a day like today when we get to stop and look back and celebrate things. This is the biggest occasion. This is it. More than anything, it means I get to keep doing this for a long time, and that’s all I’ve ever wanted to do.”
